The European alliance AcrossEU is launching a call for projects – Seed funding – for students, teachers and researchers to support innovative, collaborative and interdisciplinary initiatives at European level.

A call for projects to fund bold and collaborative initiatives
This call for projects aims to support initiatives led by alliance members and strengthen collaboration between member universities.
It offers teachers, researchers and students the opportunity to develop joint projects at European level, supporting initiatives that are reasonable in scope and limited in time, but with high potential.
The selected projects will receive funding of between €5,000 and €10,000 to support, for example, mobility, the organisation of scientific or educational events, and publications.
Eligibility criteria
- Researchers, academics and students affiliated to one of the AcrossEU universities can apply
- Proposals are submitted by teams including participants from a minimum of 2 AcrossEU universities
- Proposals must have one designated Lead applicant at one of the AcrossEU member institutions
- Proposals must have one local project coordinator in charge at each of the participating universities
- The Lead applicant is responsible for the project coordination and monitoring the implementation of the project
- The participation of early stage researchers and students is strongly encouraged.
- The participation of external partners is possible. However, will not be eligible for direct funding under this call.
- Applications must be submitted in English

- Announcement of results: 15 April 2026
- Funding period: 15 April 2026 to 15 April 2027
- Maximum project duration: 12 months
- Submission of final report: 20 May 2027
